Our soils retain enough water to get your plants what they need, but also support drainage and aeration so we can prevent root rot. An important component of this adaptive water management is the biochar in our soil.The biochar acts like tiny water storage tanks that take in and release water as needed. With that said, you still need to adapt your watering to the needs of your plant. If you have a plant that needs very little water, such as lithops or other drought-adapted plants, be mindful to be very light on the water!
